That short amount of time is all it takes to self-improve. What we’ve done is collected a number of things that can help you de-stress, improve your health and financial well-being in 15 minutes.
Let’s get started
- Go for a walk
Why wouldn’t you do this when it’s free and helps you get active and moving. Normally something this simple is easily overlooked, but it provides great health benefits and allows you to take in your surroundings to de-stress
- Take a nap
Now you finally have an excuse to have one. If you happen to have a bad night’s sleep, it’s possible to trick your mind into thinking you haven’t; by simply telling yourself repeatedly you’ve had a great sleep. Another alternative is to close your eyes for 10 minutes which alone can increase productiveness.
- Have a glass of red wine
No, not the entire bottle I’m afraid, just one glass. Studies have shown that having a glass of red wine can help lower the chance of heart disease. So now you can pour yourself a glass on nights you maybe wouldn’t normally have one knowing that you’re actually getting health benefits from it.
- Pay your bills
Not being up-to-date or organised with your bills can cause unnecessary stress, so ensuring that you pay your bills on time and in full, can have a great impact on your mental health and credit score. Keep yourself organised to avoid this potential problem.
- Wake up the same time every day
You can set your body to have a daily waking up and going to bed routine that will benefit you hugely in the long run. Waking up will become easier, therefore making your working day less tiring.
- Put the phone away
It’s such an easy distraction in society today to look at your phone. Try turning your phone off for 15 minutes and see how your productivity increases.
- Give
Giving people something releases a feel good hormone called oxytocin into your brain, making you instantly feel better.
- Learn a new language
It’s still difficult as it was previously to learn a language, but now they’re apps that can teach you segments of a language in 10-minute intervals. Do this every day for a year, who knows what language you could be fluent in!
- Drink more water
Our body is made up of 60% water, so it needs to be topped up daily! It’s recommended that you drink at least 2 litres (or 4 pints) of water a day. If possible, try having 2 of the pints in the morning and just before bed.
- Say YES!
Say yes to things you normally wouldn’t do. Unexpectedly help a friend out, attend events and meet new people. If you say yes, it can open so many more doors that can improve your mental and physical health. You never know, the things you’d normally say no to, you might enjoy.
