Award Winning Housebuilder Delivers Community Landscaping Project

Bellway Homes has recently helped the local community in Roby by designing and delivering a green space that incorporates a small pond and suitable drainage at the Age UK Mid Mersey Roby Hub on Melton Crescent.

The award-winning housebuilders have completely transformed the outdoor area of the Roby Hub, which is commonly waterlogged due to the poor drainage and unused by those who visit the centre.

With Nutwood, its new residential development of three- and four-bedroom detached homes, just an extremely short distance from Roby Hub, Bellway Homes was absolutely ecstatic to be involved in this special community project.

Working alongside Roby Hub, the housebuilder helped design that would serve local residents as well as wildlife, not only that, they donated all the materials required to deliver the project and undertook all of the work.

With the project officially complete and now open, the Sales Director at Bellway Homes, Jenny Bell commented:

“We are always pleased to be part of innovative and inspiring campaigns in the local community and were delighted to assist Roby Hub with this particular landscaping project. We are really proud of the results.”

Marina McTigue from Roby Hub said:

“The garden looks great now. It’s just what we needed so we can sit and enjoy a cuppa outside. Thank you Bellway.”

Councillor Colin Dever adds:

“This is an example of collaboration between private, third sector and the Council working together for the benefit of residents. We welcome Bellway Homes’ commitment to Knowsley and Swanside in respect to this project.”
