The award-winning law firm, Keebles, has forged a brand-new partnership to support Breast Cancer Care – the only UK-wide charity providing specialist services and support to women facing breast cancer every day.
Junior staff at the firm, a long-standing champion of giving back to its local communities, are organising a series of fundraising events across 2019. Keebles’ head of family law, Vanessa Fox has also been a volunteer for the charity since 2015.
Michele Wightman, Head of Keebles’ Private Client Department said:
“Breast Cancer Care is an inspirational charity whose services include helping people to find their ‘new normal’ after treatment from its specialist team. We look forward to helping the charity boost its fundraising goals.”
One of Yorkshire’s biggest law firms, Keebles’ commitment to local charities also encompasses DEBRA which helps those suffering from the potentially fatal skin condition Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) along with MS Society, St Luke’s Hospice and Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Keebles is also the official ‘Age Friendly Partner’ of Doncaster’s performing arts theatre Cast.
Amy Graham, Community Fundraiser for the North & Midlands for Breast Cancer Care commented:
“A big ‘thank you’ to the team at Keebles who we’re delighted to be working with. The money raised from the partnership will help Breast Cancer Care to continue to provide free services including; support over the phone with a nurse or someone who’s been there, welcoming online forums, reliable information and local group support in Sheffield and South Yorkshire.
“691,000 people are living with a breast cancer diagnosis in the UK today, and that figure is only set to grow. Support from local companies like Keebles allows Breast Cancer Care to be there for more people, whenever they need us.”
